Since the return of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 in early 2009, we¡¯ve seen a variety of Ken Griffey Jr.¡¯s signature kicks retroed by Nike Sportswear, but none has stood out above the AGM1 in terms of significance or number. That probably won¡¯t change with the release of the above pictured model, though you could pretty easily argue that without the 1995-born silhouette upon which it¡¯s based, the Air Griffey Max may have never existed. The Nike Air Max Griffey Fury pairs a full-length Max Air cushion with the lines of the Air Diamond Fury courtesy of Hyperfuse construction and an overlay whose matte finish comes off a bit like Foamposite.
